We saw the windmills up close and got a private tour of two of the lumber mills. We had a delightful lunch in the fishing town of Monnickendam. Then visited a traditional cheese farm. We capped off our tour with a visit to village of Waterland and the unique church of Broek. I am not a fan of big tour groups and ear pieces. This was a delightful tour and well worth the money. Need to time it right or you will miss a fantastic display.”

“The farm did not even have our booking and had to look it up on the computer but wanted to know how much we paid for it to decide what they were going to show/give us. Very basic, just a retail outlet to sell products. Not worth the effort to get to their location.”

Then we learned quite a bit visiting the windmills (great souvenir shopping), and then off to the farm we went. We were awed at the farm and how wonderfully they are treating the cows for the best product. Were we not traveling internationally, I would have purchased several cheeses to take home.”
